Turbine plant could bring 500 jobs
Vestas Wind Systems is in negotiations to build a plant in Weld County that would provide an estimated 500 new jobs, said Maury Dobbie, Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp. president and CEO.
While Dobbie emphasized no deal has been signed, the Denmark-based wind technology company is in negotiation to bring a plant to Northern Colorado that could produce an estimated 2,400 wind turbines a year.
